JDR Stars remain top of the GladAfrica Championship after a full round of fixtures were played on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

On Tuesday, Abel Moeketsi’s goal gave JDR Stars a 1-0 victory over Venda Football Academy, a win that moves them to 21 points after 10 games.

Polokwane City and Jomo Cosmos played to a goalless draw, while Richards Bay beat Pretoria Callies 1-0, Vusimuzi Mngomezulu getting the goal.

On Wednesday, second-place AmaTuks kept up the pace with JDR, as they came from behind twice to beat Cape Town Spurs 4-2. Ighodaro Etiosa, Sanele Barns, Harold Majadibodu and Luvoyo Phewa scored Tuks goals, while Diassonama Bunga and Chumani Butsaka scored for Spurs in Shaun Bartlett’s first game in charge at the Cape Town club.

Free State Stars came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Uthongathi, while Cape Town All Stars scored a late goal to beat Black Leopards 1-0.

Platinum City Rovers moved to third with a 5-1 hammering of Hungry Lions, Mbulelo Wagaba, Eric Ntlaba, William Radebe and Notha Ngcobo scored for Rovers, while there was also an own goal.

Mohau Mokate’s goal gave TS Sporting a 1-0 win over Tshakhuma.
