Al Hilal Omdurman coach Joao Mota has praised Pitso Mosimane ahead of both side’s CAF Champions League clash on Friday.
The two teams are part of Mamelodi Sundowns’ CAFCL group and meet each other on 18 February in Sudan.
Ahead of the game, Mota discussed Al Ahly’s strength and shared very kind words for their South African coach.
“Making my players watch Al Ahly and Al-Hilal game in the Club World Cup is not a good idea, it was not a normal game,” Mota told Al Mehwar TV, as per Kingfut.
“Overall, I prefer picking specific clips of my opponents to study instead of watching full games.
“As a team, Al Ahly have a lot of qualities that make them favourites to win the game.
“Stability is one of Al Ahly’s best qualities. It makes the difference, especially against a team that consists of a lot of new players like Al-Hilal.
“They also have a very good manager, Pitso Mosimane is smart and he has a lot of experience in the CAF Champions League.”
Al Hilal lost their group opener 1-0 to Sundowns, while Al Ahly’s first match against Al-Merreikh was postponed due to the club’s involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.
