The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup draw dates have been set by the Confederation of African Football.
New optimism surrounds the competition for South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns who wrapped up Group A that consists of reigning champions Al Ahly – with two games to spare.
The Red Devils have yet to seal qualification for the quarter-finals as they face Al Hilal in matchday six in the first week of April for a place amongst the last-eight.
Pitso Mosimane’s side need to avoid defeat against the Sudanese giants in Cairo to progress to join the likes of Sundowns, Raja AC, Wydad SC, Esperance, ES Setif, CR Belouizdad and Petro de Luanda.
CAF has officially confirmed that the draw with be conducted at the official headquarters in Cairo, Egypt – which will be streamed live via CAF platforms at 15h00 on Tuesday, 5 April.
Orlando Pirates will also learn their fate as they are one of five teams already qualified for the knockout stages of the second-tier continental competition alongside Al Ahlu Triopolo, Pyramids, Al Masry and TP Mazembe
