South African tactician Manqoba Mngqithi has scooped the NBC Tanzanian Premier League Coach Of The Month award for August.
Mngqithi has guided defending champions Young Africans to five wins in five league matches, 15 points and top of the league standings.
The former Golden Arrows mentor led Yanga to the Tanzania Community Shield title last month over Steve Barker’s Simba SC.
Last weekend, Mngqithi’s charges avoided defeat in the CAF Champions League Preliminary first leg tie against Gaborone United in Botswana as the tie ended 1-1, and they will now look to make use of homeground advantage to advance to the next round.
His bright start to the Tanzanian league and at Yanga has not gone unnoticed as he scooped his first individual award.
