The final two teams to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations have been confirmed, with Peter Shalulile’s Namibia and Cameroon booking their tickets.
The Indomitable Lions needed a win over Burundi and got just that on Tuesday evening, thanks to second-half goals by Bryan Mbeumo, Christopher Wooh and Vincent Aboubakar.
The result saw Cameroon move to seven points in Group C, while Peter Shalulile’s Namibia qualified in second spot with five points and Burundi missed out after staying on four.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Gambia had booked their AFCON ticket in dramatic fashion after coming from two goals down against Congo Republic to draw 2-2 in the dying minutes of the game and collect the one point they needed.
On Saturday, Mauritania confirmed their spot at next year’s showpiece after beating Gabon 2-1 to stay ahead of their opponents, while DR Congo secured their qualification after a 2-0 over Sudan.

Morocco’s final Group K match with Liberia was postponed after an earthquake cost many lives. Currently South Africa sit on seven points, one ahead of Morocco.
