Tunisia head coach Jalel Kadri has named a 27-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The North African giants are set for their 16th consecutive AFCON finals, in which they have been champions once, runners-up, fourth place and quarter-finalists six times.
In Group E alongside, Mali, South Africa and Namibia, the Carthage Eagles are favourites to progress to the next round with a highly experienced squad.
However, Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, who has earned 27 senior international caps at the age of 20, is one of the major omissions from the final squad – Al Gharafa star Ferjani Sassi has also been omitted.
They are based in their home country and face Mauritania and Cape Verde for their final warm-up matches on 6 and 10 January, respectively, before their opening game against The Brave Warriors on 16 January in Korhogo.
