Mamelodi Sundowns and Petro de Luanda have announced their starting line-ups for this evening African Football League second clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
It’s been four days since Sundowns beat the 17-times Girabola winners 2-0 in Angola and as a consequence the DStv Premiership champions have a huge advantage coming to this encounter with two away goals.
Petro have Hugo Marques, their goalkeeper, who is familiar with South Africa since he played for Cape Town City before, and he might be helpful coming to clash even though he couldn’t stop Marcelo Allende and Thapelo Maseko from scoring in the first leg.
However, Sundowns needed to rely on the heroics of their own goalkeeper in Ronwen Williams, who saved a penalty and also the rebound superbly.
Masandawana have been troubled by injuries in this season and had to play without Peter Shalulile and Lucas Ribeiro in the first leg. Meanwhile, Petro also started the game without their talisman Tiago Azulão, who was initially on the bench.
Sundowns will have to avoid losing the match with a two-goal margin, if they are to book a place into the semi-finals of the African Football League.
Here is how they line up:
Sundowns XI: Williams, Mvala, Coetzee, Boutouil, Mudau, Mokoena, Modiba, Allende, Zwane, Sirino, Maseko
