Former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Luis Miquissone scored his first two goals for Al Ahly to lead them to a win over Misr Lel-Makkasa.
Al Ahly opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Luis Miquinssone netted his first goal for the Egyptian giants, hitting a powerful shot from the edge of the box past the goalkeeper.
Just two minutes later, Miquissone made it 2-0 after lobbing the goalkeeper from a tight angle to complete his brace.
Al Ahly added a third just before the break, when a superb pass from Mohamed Magdy Afsha set up Hussein El Shahat, who converted from close range.
Aliou Dieng almost made it 4-0 directly after half-time but his shot was pushed against the post by the Lel-Makkasa goalkeeper.
Mosimane’s men put the cherry on top when Ziad Tarek netted his side’s fourth in the 87th minute.
The comfortable win sees Al Ahly climb back to the top of the log after Pyramids – the club of Fagrie Lakay – had overtaken the Club of the Century.
Al Ahly now sit two points above Pyramids and two above defending champions Zamalek, who have played one game more.
