Pitso Mosimane has opened up on the recent contract talks he’s had with Al Ahly, saying “all parties are happy” after their latest meeting.
Al Ahly had announced on Wednesday that the club and it’s coach had agreed to continue his current deal until the end of the season and then recommence with contract talks.
Before the public statement, there were reports that negotiations had reached a stalemate over a “protection clause” that Mosimane and his camp wanted to be included, as reported by iDiski Times.
However, all focus is now on the new campaign, with Mosimane confirming everyone is focussed to finish the current deal before they might enter into new discussions.
“Thank you very much Al Ahly, all parties are happy after that meeting,” he wrote on social media.
“We all continue with full energies and focus to finish the current contract ending this season.
“Enshalla we might both want to enter into discussions for the new contract. It’s all about timing.”
Mosimane and Al Ahly picked up a 1-1 draw at USGN in the CAF Champions League and will welcoming the Niger side at home on Saturday.
