Keagan Dolly has opened up on his partnership with Khama Billiat and sent a warning to Kaizer Chiefs’ future opponents after his Man of the Match performance against Chippa United.
The 28-year-old scored a brace in the game and assisted Billiat’s third, earning him laurels on and off the pitch.
He was asked about his partnership with the Billiat afterwards and explained that their understanding goes way back to their time at Ajax Cape Town.
“It’s always easy for me to understand where Khama is going where Khama is going to run and he knows what to do when I have the ball,” he told SuperSport TV.
“Like I said it’s been a partnership since Ajax days, so automatically if I have the ball, I know where he’s going to be.
“But overall, the entire team, we’ve been working hard in training and off the field and we deserve it tonight, hopefully there is much more to come.”
Dolly also sent a warning to their future opponents, saying if they can keep playing like they did against Chippa, they will cause harm to many teams in the league.
“Yeah, like I said in the past few games, we’ve been creating chances, we’ve been working on it in training sessions,” he added.
“We just said ‘let’s execute and stick to our plan’ and that’s what we did.
“Like I said, it’s not just me, the whole team played well and we stuck to our game plan. I think if we keep going like this, a lot of teams need to watch out for us.”
Chiefs climbed into eighth spot on the log and will face second-placed SuperSport United next weekend.
