Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Themba Zwane has reacted to his continued snub from Bafana Bafana by coach Hugo Broos.
Zwane, 32, has not been called up to the national team by Broos ever since the Belgian tactician took over, as he is seemingly not part of the coaches’ revamp.
The 2019/20 PSL Footballer of the Season has been one of the standout performers for his club this season, but last featured for Bafana in a 2-0 defeat to Sudan in 2021.
However, he has now insisted he respects Broos’ decision and supports the national team.
“I am not disappointed at all. I am a professional player,” he said, as per IOL.
“What I can say is that I respect the coach’s decision. I support the guys all the way.
“I have not yet spoken to the coach. And I don’t have anything against him as well.
“As a player, I’ll keep on pushing, hoping that my chance will come.
“If not, I’ll still keep on pushing. There are things that I still want to achieve personally, with the team. So, I have to push myself and try to improve in every game.”
Zwane has made 24 appearances for Bafana, including four at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
