Mamelodi Sundowns have ended their European pre-season tour with a win over NAC Breda from the Netherlands.
Masandawana really impressed onlookers in the Netherlands over the last few days, with insiders telling iDiski Times that Rulani Mokwena’s men have left a good impression during their games.
Sundowns first drew 2-2 with KAA Gent, racing to a two-goal lead but having to settle with a draw. They first beat Go Ahead Eagles 1-0 on Sunday, before putting Sparta Rotterdam to the sword with a 4-1.
On Friday, they ended their tour with a match against Eerste Divisie side NAC Breda and beat them 2-0.
The DStv Premiership champions got off to a flyer, scoring two early goals in the 10th and 15th minute. First Mosa Lebusa netted following a corner and from then Marcello Allende converted a penalty.
Sundowns dominated the game in large parts and also hit the post in the second half before the home side pulled one goal back.
Downs’ pre-season form will be tested in exactly seven days when they will face Nedbank Cup finalists Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokhaba Stadium on Friday, 4 August.
