Nabi – What I Told My Players On Pitch At HT

A frustrated Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi had a go at his players for their selfish play and missing countless scoring chances as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Royal AM.

Chiefs scored two goals within the opening 15 minutes of the game but squandered more opportunities to score only to take that lead into the break and not protect it in the second half. As a result, Amakhosi missed an opportunity to move to third position on the Betway premiership log.

Nabi cut a frustrated figure at halftime going on to the pitch to speak to his players before walking to the change room. When asked what he said to his players, he said he felt missing the kind of chances his side did was unacceptable.

“It’s like how many opportunities we were missing and after the 25 minutes of the first half we felt that everyone was playing for himself,” he answered to iDiski Times.

“In the first half after the 25 minutes what was happening on the field was unacceptable. That’s what the speech was about because of missing a lot of goals.

“And even at half time in the changing room that was the speech that if we have the opportunity to score, we need to score them.”
