Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says he appreciates every single word of support he has received from chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza.
Dr. Khoza recently spoke of why he appointed the Spanish coach, and had high praise for Riveiro, who won both the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup trophies in his first season at charge of the Bucs.
Riveiro, on being asked about hearing Dr. Khoza’s words, said that he has received unconditional support since joining Pirates.
“Obviously, I appreciate every single word coming from our chairman,” Riveiro said at Monday’s press conference.
“And look, how can I say this – if there’s something that I felt from the first minute in my time here in Pirates, it is the unconditional support to what we are doing myself, the technical staff, with the players.
“So, ja, I take it like what it is and appreciate that support. I don’t know what to say. It’s nice to hear.”
