Spurs Strengthen Technical Team?

Cape Town Spurs are believed to have strengthened their technical team, with Ernst Middendorp bringing in someone he is familiar with.

For the past two matches under Middendorp, a goalkeeper coach was a notable absentee from Spurs’ team-sheet. Calvin Marlin departed with Shaun Bartlett, and for a brief period, Emil Kemp filled the role in an interim capacity.

However, the spot now looks like it will be filled by Thembalethu Moses after the 41-year-old was spotted at the DHL Stadium on Tuesday.

While Moses wasn’t on the bench, he was in the stands and looks to be reuniting with Middendorp. Moses was briefly with Middendorp at Singida Foundation in Tanzania but also worked as a player under the German during his time at Bloemfontein Celtic.

There is talk that there could be further additions to the technical team, as Spurs look to turn around the disastrous start to their first campaign back in the DStv Premiership in five years.

They are currently 16th and have lost 12 of their 13 games.
