iDiski TV analyst Benedict Tso Vilakazi admits that the young attacking duo of Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota have left him hugely proud despite Orlando Pirates’ CAF Champions League elimination.
The pair have nine goals and five assists between them in Africa’s premium club competition and were both on the score sheet when Pirates lost 3-2 to Pyramids FC in the 2nd leg of their semi-final on Friday.
‘Tso’ believes no one gave the youngsters a chance and they did well to help the Buccaneers get to the semi-finals. The former Sea Robbers captain added that with the little experience the youngsters have on the continent, they can be proud of themselves because importantly they have gained experience for when they return next season.
“Our two young boys Mofokeng and Nkota they made us proud,” said Tso on iDiski TV.
“They did very well. They should be proud of themselves. It wasn’t an easy journey for them to get to the semi-finals. I mean they played against the best. Pyramids is not an easy team they are number one in the Egyptian league.
“The way they have played for me it’s more than enough they should be proud of themselves. The good thing is that they got experience. When they come back next season, they’ve got more experience and understand better what it takes to play in the Champions League.
“And I’m saying to the boys, walk tall you did wonders, you managed to get to this stage you should be proud.”
