Hunt Content With Away Goal

While disappointed not to win after a last minute equaliser, SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt said he was pleased to get an away goal in the 1-1 draw with Gaborone United in the CAF Confederation Cup first-leg tie.

SuperSport had been heading to what looked like a narrow win before Sheikh Sesay grabbed a stoppage-time goal, which Hunt described as a ‘worldy’.

Hunt said it was a difficult game.

“Yeah, a goal away from home is always important,” Hunt said at the post match presser.

“I mean, it was difficult, the ball wasn’t running very smoothly, bobbly and bouncy, so the football wasn’t a pretty game.

“But you know, the guy scored a worldy, there at the end, he hit it, so fair play to him, he took the chance. Ja, but we move on.”

Hunt added that the team is likely to see a few changes for the second leg in South Africa.

“Ja, look, we will have a different team playing the next game,” Hunt added.

“So it’ll be a little bit different. We’ve got a few games before that. So we have to look and see what we got by the time we play but the team will certainly be different.”

SuperSport host Kaizer Chiefs and play Chippa United away before they will welcome Gaborone for the second leg at the end of the month.
