Chiefs Make Major Announcement

Kaizer Chiefs have announced they will host the inaugural Toyota Cup later this month.

Amakhosi are currently in Turkey for their pre-season camp and are yet to confirm any of their pre-season friendlies.

On Sunday, new coach Nasreddine Nabi joined the camp on Sunday and was officially unveiled by the club.

On Monday, Chiefs launched the Toyota Pre-Season Cup, which will see Amakhosi face Tanzanian giants Young Africans in Bloemfontein in its first edition.

Toyota’s partnership with Chiefs has been existing since 2017, first starting as vehicle sponsor before also becoming the club’s sleeve sponsor.

The inaugural Toyota Cup will take place at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, with Chiefs hosting Tanzanian giants Young Africans on 28 July, 15:00 – entry fee is R40.

“We are taking our relationship with Toyota to the next level,” Jessica Motaung said.

“I want to thank Toyota, it allows us to have a competitive match during pre-season.

“Bloemfontein is a home away from home and Bloemfontein hasn’t seen a lot of football, so we’re excited to take football to our fans in Bloem.”

There will also be a legends match between Chiefs legends and Bloemfontein Celtics legends, as well as several off-the-pitch activities, while one fan at the stadium can win a brand new Toyota.
