Update On Eastmond Assessment At Pirates

Orlando Pirates have been left impressed with Tremaine Eastmond, who is likely to return to the club for pre-season.

The 20-year-old spent two weeks with the first team at Rand Stadium and featured in a couple of friendlies where he is said to have impressed.

However, he’s since returned to England where he will be following a training program by himself, with the understanding he will return for pre-season with the Buccaneers.

No agreement has been reached, however, the former Burnley academy product will be aiming to impress further to earn a deal with the Soweto giants.

Competition will, however, be high with Evidence Makgopa, Zakhele Lepasa, Tshegofatsa Mabasa, Souaibou Marou and Kermit Erasmus on the books.

However, the latter duo are said to be facing uncertain long-term futures at the club, while Boitumelo Radiopane could return from his loan at Cape Town Spurs and Mohau Nkota has been promoted from the DStv Diski Challenge squad.
