The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) have confirmed their acquisition of a free-to-air package for the English Premier League.
SABC have managed to secure a partnership directly with the EPL over the last few seasons where they broadcast one live game every Saturday at 15h00.
This weekend, their offering kicks off with Arsenal against Wolverhampton ahead of 33 other love matches this season on channel 3, SABC+ and their official SABC Sport website.
“The acquisition of the league has always been a strategic direction of the SABC. The English Premier League creates various marketing opportunities for the SABC Sport and other SABC brands,” SABC Head of Sport, Ms Keletso Totlhanyo stated.
“We see this as an opportunity to create a sense of euphoria for South Africans everywhere and we look forward to a long-lasting partnership with the Premier League.”
