Mamelodi Sundowns have picked up all three individual awards in the African Football league after winning the inaugural tournament.
Masandawana beat Wydad Athletic Club 2-0 at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday and 3-2 on aggregate to win the final, cementing their names in African history.
But Sundowns didn’t just win the trophy and a massive prize money of $4 million, they also did a clean sweep at the individual awards.
After keeping five games in six games, Ronwen Williams was named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
In addition, Thapelo Maseko received the top scorer award after scoring two goals. The 21-year-old winger was also named the Most Valuable Player in the competition.
