Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has returned to Saudi Arabia with First Division side Al Faisaly for a third stint.
Solinas has been lured back to the club after the sacking of Greek coach Marinos Ouzounidis after a run of five games without a win.
Promotion is still a possibility for the side as they trail fourth-placed Al Riyadh by ten points, and have two games in hand.
The top-four sides in the second tier all win automatic promotion, so with eight games to go for Solinas and his troops, it’s all to play for.
Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahli are currently on course for the title as they are placed at the summit with 58 points, two ahead of second-placed Al Akhdoud.
The Italian, who led Amakhosi back in 2018, has signed a short-term deal until the end of the season, with the mandate to win promotion back to the Saudi Pro League.
Despite being outside of the top flight, Faisaly competed in the AFC Champions League this season due to winning the Kings Cup title but they bowed out in the round of 16 losing to Iran giants Foolad, the former club of Ayanda Patosi.
