Galaxy Star Named In Squad To Face Bafana

TS Galaxy goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has been named in the provisional Rwanda squad set to face Zimbabwe and South Africa in their opening 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The off-season signing from AS Kigali has been made to bide his time for a chance to shine with the Rockets as Vasilije Kolak has been first-choice in the league.

Ntwari has been serving as the understudy but has taken his chance in the Carling Knockout and was the hero against Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhkhune United in the penalty shoot-out victories.

His form has seen him retain his place in the national team squad that was announced by head coach Torsten Frank and he’s likely to form part of the final 23 squad set to be confirmed in the coming days.

They take on Zimbabwe on Wednesday 15 November at the Huye Stadium, before hosting Bafana Bafana at the same venue six days later.
