Richards Bay coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi says he would’ve loved to face wounded Kaizer Chiefs this coming weekend rather than next weekend.
Bay ended their six-match winless run this past weekend, beating Moroka Swallows by 1-0 courtesy of Kuda Muyaba. The Natal Richboys moved five points clear of cape Town Spurs in the relegation spot and eight points behind Swallows.
The KwaZulu-Natal-based side have seven matches remaining to save their status, including two trips to Cape Town against Cape Town Spurs and Cape Town City.
Vilakazi stated that he would’ve loved to face Chiefs this coming weekend, as he feels like they are wounded after back-to-back defeats and just one point in four games.
“I would have loved to play them [Kaizer Chiefs ] this coming weekend but unfortunately we can’t obviously there’s cup games. But when people are still sleeping, you wish to get them that time,” Vilakazi told the media.
“So, when they wake-up, there’s a chance that they might cause problems. We would’ve really loved [to play Chiefs] this weekend.”
