France Football have announced the final Ballon d’Or ranking, with Cristiano Ronaldo not among the final nominees for the first time since 2004.
All roads for this year’s Golden Ball were leading to the battle between Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi, who both had incredible campaigns.
In September, France Football had announced 30 nominees, which included four players, namely: Victor Osimhen, Mohamed Salah, Andre Onana and Yassine Bounou.
Later on Monday, the prestigious Ballon d’Or gala took place in Paris, and Messi eventually walked away with the award.
