Kaizer Chiefs have named their starting line-up for today’s CAF Champions League quarter-final second leg tie against Simba SC in Dar es Salaam.
Chiefs won the first leg 4-0 and so the only way they can be eliminated is by losing the game by five or more goals. If this was to happen it would be a record defeat.
Chiefs have actually only ever lost one tie in the CAFCL after winning the first leg, and that was way back in 1993, when they lost to Zamalek. The Glamour Boys had won the first leg 2-1, but lost 1-0 away to exit on the away goal rule.
While it will be a mammoth task for Simba to get back in this game, the Tanzanians have an excellent home record in the CAFCL, having last lost at home in 2013, when they were defeated 1-0 by Recreativo Do Libolo from Angola.
This is how the two teams line-up for this afternoon’s game:
Simba SC: Manula, Kapombe, Wawa, Onyango, Hussein, Lwanga, Yassin, Chama, Miquissone, Mugalu, Bocco
Kaizer Chiefs: Bvuma, Mathoho, Cardoso, Zulu, Ngezana, Blom, Frosler, Parker, Manyama, Castro, Nurkovic
