Kaizer Chiefs are yet to officially confirm which players will be available for tonight’s CAF Champions League final, but Khama Billiat and Lebogang Manyama were spotted in training.
The Glamour Boys will take part in their first ever CAF Champions League final but have kept their team news close to their chests, with all of their first-team stars being part of the traveling squad to Morocco.
On Friday, Amakhosi surprised many when head coach Stuart Baxter appeared at the pre-match press conference instead of Arthur Zwane, who had guided the team during the semi-finals against Wydad Casablanca from the sidelines.
However, there was no update on which players are available for selection on Saturday, with team news likely only to be revealed when the official line-up comes out. Baxter, though, did indicate that Chiefs might have “one more surprise” up their sleeves.
Many fans are left wondering whether the likes of Khama Billiat and Lebogang Manyama, who both missed the semi-finals against Wydad, will be fit to play.
Manyama has appeared 11 times during Chiefs’ run to the final, while Billiat featured in just five Champions League games this campaign but scored the important 2-2 equaliser in the final group game against Horoya, which saw Chiefs qualify for the knockout stages.
Both players, though, were spotted in training gear on pictures shared by Amakhosi’s social media channels, giving fans hope that they could play a role in tonight’s final against Al Ahly.
