Club Deny Offering Pitso Massive Salary
United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda have denied offering Pitso Mosimane crazy money in an attempt to lure him away from Al Ahly.
A report in Arab media had stated that Al Wahda have offered ‘Jingles’ almost three times his current salary.
It was claimed Al Wahda were prepared to pay Mosimane R74 million ($5 million) per year and have contacted his wife and agent Moira Mosimane after failing to reach an agreement with Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron.
However, Al Wahda president Rashed Al Zaabi has now come out and dismissed the rumours.
“The rumors about negotiations with Mosimane are completely fake, we trust our technical staff and we are not looking for replacements,” he said, as per Kingfut.
“Pitso Mosimane is Al Ahly head coach, we wish success to both the coach and the club, but we haven’t contacted them.
“I encourage people not to listen to agents, these are laughable rumors, we have full respect for Al Ahly, and if we plan to do business with them, we will contact the club directly.”
Al Ahly return to action after the international break when they face Niger’s USGN in the CAF Champions League on 16 October.
