Komphela Hails Busquets
Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Steve Komphela was left in awe, watching Spain star Sergio Busquets last night.
The South African tactician was watching the Italy against Spain semi-final of the UEFA European Championship on Tuesday evening.
Clearly impressed by the performance of Spain midfielder Busquets, Komphela took to social media to praise the 32-year-old.
“Sergio Busquets is the quickest thinker and executor I’ve seen lately. Pure class. The heart-beat of Spain,” he tweeted.
Komphela even kept on defending Busquets after some other users pointed out that the Spain midfielder is not the fastest anymore.
“Very slow in recovery or marking maybe but in offense he’s one of the fastest, speed of thought and actions, he’s deadly,” he reacted.
He also summed up the game after Italy defeated Spain on penalties to secure a spot in the UEFA European Championship final, saying the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners looked easier on the eye.
“It was very close a match in general but Spain was more obvious in the eye when the Italians looked deeper into the faults of the Spanish perfection,” he concluded.
