Pyramids Deny Tau Rumours
Pyramids have denied rumours that they have entered the negotiations for Percy Tau, bettering Al Ahly’s offer.
Rumours stated that the Egyptian side have bettered Al Ahly’s €1.8 million offer and bid €4 million for the South African winger, which has caused the delay of his move.
However, a source close to Pyramids has told FilGoal that these reports are unfounded, even though the club were offered the player.
Pyramids didn’t feel the financials for Tau were right and didn’t enter the talks as a consequence.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly are understood to have agreed to a €1.8 million deal for Tau, to be paid in instalments.
The 27-year-old has reportedly pushed for the move, while he was the number one priority of Pitso Mosimane.
Brighton & Hove Albion, though, have surprised many after registering Tau for the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.
Coach Graham Potter confirmed on Thursday that Tau was training with the club and that there is interest from him “abroad”.
