After pictures of Pitso Mosimane’s son in a FC Barcelona kit were trending on social media, it has been confirmed why Reatlegile Mosimane was wearing the Blaugrana colours.
Reatlegile is the youngest of Mosimane’s three children and earlier this week reports claimed that he was trialing with Barcelona, who are known for their famed ‘La Masia’ academy that has produced stars such as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez, among many others.
Images of Reatlegile in a Barca shirt quickly made the rounds, but Mosimane’s representatives MT Sports Marketing & Management have told iDiski Times that it was not a trial but rather a paid for training camp.
“When Rea was there, he was able to join them for a training, he was not on trial. What social media reports are saying, is completely sideway,” a representative of MT Sports Marketing & Management said.
MT Sports Marketing & Management also shared an official statement on the matter with this publication, saying: “Coach Mosimane’s son Reatlegile, was not trialing with Barcelona.
“He was in fact training with the Barcelona franchise team whilst he was on school holiday in Egypt. Those students who attend the training are required to pay.”
It is believed that Mosimane’s son was taking part in a camp of Barcelona’s satellite academies in Cairo.
