Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba looks set to make a loan move from RC Strasbourg to Ligue 1 rivals ES Troyes before the end of the transfer window.
Mothiba is held in high regard at the French club but suffered a major setback in his career progression with nearly two years on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
Upon his return to first-team action, the club is looking to see him earn regular game time in order to regain his form and fitness that made him their focal point up front.
According to French news outlet L’Équipe, the 25-year-old will move on a six-month loan deal but Strasbourg are keen to extend his contract before he leaves while there will be no option to buy inserted in the agreement.
The move represents the faith they still have in South African who they forked out €4-million to acquire from LOSC Lille in August 2018.
Since making the move to the RCSA, Mothiba has scored 14 goals and registered six assists in 61 games across all comeptitions.
