Bafana Midfielder Opens Up On AmaZulu Switch

New AmaZulu signing Ethan Brooks has expressed his delight after completing his transfer from TS Galaxy.

The Bafana Midfielder forms part of a new era at Usuthu, with Rally Bwalya, who was also presented today after joining from Simba SC, forming part of that much-talked-about rebuild at the KZN outfit.

Usuthu announced their official signings on social media with the nine-time capped Bafana Bafana midfielder reiterating the narrative of President Sandile Zungu, that they will embark on a challenge for silverware in the 2022/23 campaign.

“I’m really happy to be going to AmaZulu Football Club, a club full of heritage and a very competitive team that also really excites me to be part of the team for the 2022/23 season,” Brooks said.

“There are some guys I do know in the team such as Veli Mothwa who I have been within the national team.

“I can’t wait to share the changing rooms with these guys, my expectations for the season is to help the club achieve its goals and objectives for the season and one of the objectives is to collect a trophy. Really glad to be a part of the team and I’m glad that I can help with that expectation.”

Brooks was discovered by the Rockets at local club Panorama – who was still in High School at the time – with whom they shared a training ground whilst still campaigning in the GladAfrica Championship.
