Baroka On Makgopa & Mosele Rumours

Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has said he will wait to see when Evidence Makgopa and Goodman Mosele return from the Olympics if he is selling the pair or not.

The players have been linked with moves to Orlando Pirates and also to overseas clubs.

Soccer Laduma has reported that their move to Pirates is “as a good as done” with Makgopa set to return for a loan spell back in Limpopo. However, the Baroka boss did not want to confirm the news and said anything can happen in the next 30 days.

“I will see when they get back from there (the Olympics). We still got 30 days and anything can happen, (first) he’s going to Olympics,” said Mphahlele when asked by iDiski Times about the duos future.

“If they are at the Olympics and someone from another country says ‘Baroka here is money’, why not, because we also want more money to be able to do all this stuff.

“This, nobody is helping us except our sponsor Global to build this village. So if someone can come with the money it will also speed up our construction process, so we will gladly look into that offer on the table.”

The former and incumbent Young Player of the Season have also impressed in national colours at U23 and senior level. Mphahlele also believes if the right offers come for the players, Bakgaga will not fall apart due to their departures.

“I am sure the team can play without them, I don’t think there is a player who we say we can’t play without them,” he added.

“The team is a team of 11 players in the field of play and yes we will be able to play and we will be able to replace them. We didn’t borrow them from someone, we developed them so it will be our task to replace them with similar quality or even better one.”

The two players have spoken to iDiski Times previously in separate interviews about their possible moves with Mosele admitting he would appreciate an opportunity to go grow somewhere else but with Mphahlele’s blessing, while Makgopa said he wants an overseas move.
