Benni McCarthy has confirmed AmaZulu’s first two signings ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
The 43-year-old has returned to pre-season at Usuthu after spending the off-season with his family in Scotland.
He has now revealed that his club have signed two players already, despite the club yet to announce the arrivals of Keagan Buchanan and Mxolisi Kunene.
“The team is looking very good, really well, they fit,” he told AmaZulu’s media department.
“The two new boys look like they settled in really well. Keagan Buchanan that we got and (Mxolisi) Kunene. They seem to do well.
“Kunene is easing himself in, you know he just came back from an injury, he picked up when he was at Maritzburg United.
“But he’s looking very good, he’s looking very good. There are a lot of positive signs from him and Buchanan as well.”
Kunene played 25 games for Maritzburg in 2019/20, scoring two goals and assisting in another two.
Buchanan, meanwhile, featured 16 times for the Team of Choice before being released in February.
