Benni Confirms Two More AmaZulu Signings

Benni McCarthy has confirmed two more AmaZulu signings on Thursday, adding two more former Kaizer Chiefs players to his squad.

The reigning DStv Premiership Coach of the Season spilled the beans on the arrivals of Kgotso Moleko and Hendrick Ekstein, before they have been officially announced by the club.

“New players will be confirmed soon, but Kgotso Moleko has joined us. A player I was very interested in,” he told local media.

“He was let go by Kaizer Chiefs and I think he’s got a wealth of experience. And I think he will give us just another dimension that we already have in the team.

“And obviously, we have finalised Pule Ekstein as well. These two players join our camp. So the team looks very stable, we look good.

“These players were the perfect fit with what we needed, so I’m satisfied and very happy.”

Moleko was with Amakhosi last season but was one of seven players who were not in the plans for the club for the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Ekstein joins AmaZulu after leaving Azerbaijanian side FK Sabail upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June.

Moleko and Ekstein add onto the signings of Keagan Buchanan, Mxolisi Kunene, Tercious Malepe, Philani Zulu, Matarr Ceesay and MDC Diski Challenge players Tshepang Moremi and Lindani Shange.

McCarthy’s side will face his former team Cape Town City in the MTN8 quarter-final on Sunday.
