Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu have unveiled their new signings on Thursday, including a player who was linked with Kaizer Chiefs earlier in the window as well as another who was released by Amakhosi.
Usuthu are currently preparing for the 2021/22 campaign, which will see them compete in the DStv Premiership, as well as all domestic cups and the CAF Champions League for a first time.
They will kick off their new season with an MTN8 quarter-final against McCarthy’s former side Cape Town City on 15 August and now finally announced their new signings.
The coach had already confirmed the arrivals of Keagan Buchanan and Mxolisi Kunene, while South Africa’s U23 captain Tercious Malepe was also unveiled by the club.
Former Chiefs defender Philani Zulu also joined the club after his exit from the Glamour Boys.
Young Gambian international Matarr Ceesay and MDC Diski Challenge players Tshepang Moremi and Lindani Shange were also unveiled.
“We’re not done with signing on players and we are working on some. Benni is a very demanding coach and we’re trying hard to sign more,” president Sandile Zungu said.
