Former Orlando Pirates Striker Andries Sebola has tipped Kaizer Chiefs to get a positive results from their MTN8 encounter against their Soweto rivals.
Pirates host Kaizer Chiefs in the first leg of the MTN 8 semi-finals on Saturday afternoon, and it promises to be a unique experience due to the absence of fans.
Usually the only game in South Africa’s top-flight to sell out, there is a lot of discussion as to how this will impact the game on a whole.
Sebola, affectionately known as ‘Local is Lekker’ by Pirates fans, believes that Chiefs have the slight upper hand coming into Saturday’s match.
“I think Saturday is going to be a difficult match for both teams, especially considering there won’t be any fans at the stadium. I ultimately think that it’s gonna be a win/draw for Chiefs.” Sebola told iDiski Times.
Sebola justified his prediction by saying iBhakaniya is not the same as they were last season in terms of form and also pointed to Amakhosi’s positive result against Chippa United on Tuesday.
The ex-marksman closed of his predictions by saying: “Whoever wins the first leg is going to win the overall match because they will go into the second leg in an advantageous position.”
The first Soweto Derby of the season will kick off at 3pm on Saturday.
