Reeve Frosler says that Kaizer Chiefs know that Wydad Casablanca are a tough team to play, but if they can contain the Moroccan club, he is confident they can get a result this weekend.
The two teams meet in the CAF Champions League group stages on Saturday, and Frosler says that while it’s still an outside bet, if they get good results in their last two games, they could still qualify for the quarter-finals.
But Frosler says first they need to focus on Wydad, who beat Chiefs 4-0 in the away fixture.
“They are a very good team, a very structured team,” Frosler told the club’s media department.
“So they are difficult to play against. But we just got to stick by what our strengths are. And, stay composed, and you never know what could happen.”
“We just got to contain them and make the game go on as long as possible, and give ourselves a chance, obviously the first priority is to try and win the game, but we’ll just do our best and look, we have two games left.”
“And I think the last game we play the team that’s second on the log, if I’m not mistaken. So who knows, we do well in this game, we go that side, and we do well in that game, and we’ve qualified.”
“But we focused on the next game, obviously, the most important one is Saturday. So I think we’re going to be focused on that one, and we’ll take it as it comes.”
