Galaxy Appoint New Assistant

TS Galaxy have confirmed the appointment of a new assistant coach, Mensur Dogan, from Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Dogan will serve as assistant to newly appointed Sead Ramovic, who was named as Owen Da Gama’s replacement last week.

The 50-year-old worked for Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation for over 20-years while he was previously the Director of Youth Academy at the Bosnian outfit, FC Zeljeznicar Sarajevo.

“Mr. Mensur Dogan has joined our club on good recommendation by our new coach, Sead Ramovic,” Galaxy President Tim Sukazi said.

“He brings some wealth of experience as a UEFA Pro License football educator. The UEFA Pro License is the highest coaching standard in the world. Therefore we are truly blessed to have a UEFA Pro License educator amongst our technical team.”

“His primary role is to implement a particular football philosophy within all our club structures that will see our club playing the same style of football that will be enjoyed by our supporters.

“I believe that his acquisition will also create a pathway into the UEFA coaching qualifications for our young coaches.”

Dogan is looking forward to being involved, and making an impact at the club.

“I’m very happy to be here but the results will make me even much happier. We want to make an impact at this beautiful club,” Dogan told the club’s media department.

“Coach Sead is a good friend of mine and he asked me to come and add some value to the club. It is my first time here in Africa and I have some time to adapt and acclimatise.

“We want to develop a football philosophy that is based on attacking football. We want to play football that will be attractive to the supporters. We will strive for that.”

Meanwhile Greg Etafia has also joined Galaxy, as goalkeeper coach, replacing Lucky Shiburi, who left the club at the end of September.
