With a just few hours to go before the originally scheduled kick off time, Marumo Gallants’ CAF Confederation Cup opponents, Futuro Kings from Equatorial Guinea, are yet to arrive in the country.
iDiski Times has gathered that Kings are on their way to South Africa, and are expected to arrive soon, after a layover in Nairobi.
However this delay has meant that the 3pm kick off time for the game is unlikely, and the match will only be played this evening.
“Kick off time between Marumo Gallants and Futuro Kings Football Clubs has been changed from 15h00 to 19h00 tonight due to the late arrival of the Equatorial Guinea club in South Africa,” a statement from Gallants read.
“Futuro Kings FC is expected to arrive at OR Tambo International Airport at noon today and head straight to Polokwane for the game.”
Gallants lost the first leg of their preliminary round match 2-1 in Equatorial Guinea, but with an important away goal in the bag, they will be hoping to wrap up the tie at home.
