Ahead of today’s MTN8 semi-final second leg against Golden Arrows, Mamelodi Sundowns striker Kermit Erasmus says the team is focussed on getting into the final.
The tie is currently level at 1-1 after the first leg in Durban last month.
Erasmus says they need to take their chances, and he is confident if they stick to the game plan, they will progress.
“Reaching the final is the target for the MTN8, it’s been a long time since the club has played in the final of the MTN8 and it’s our aim to achieve that, hopefully we can do that on Tuesday and focus on the next step in winning the final,” Erasmus told the club’s website.
“First it’s making sure that we get to the finals on Tuesday, that’s where all our focus and energy is in making sure that we prepare well and sharpen our skills.”
“The first game against Arrows due to the weather conditions was very tricky, but it’s part of football, it comes with the conditions and you’ve just got to adapt and focus yourself in trying to do your best for the team.
“We have to give it our best, stick to the game plan and our identity in how we play as a club.
“[We have to] score with the chances that we create because we will definitely create the chances.”
