Former Kaizer Chiefs star, Junior Khanye, has said that fans will have to be patient for success, and that the rot did not just start.
Khanye has been vocal in the past about the Amakhosi losing their culture, and he was of the same opinion after seeing them lose 2-0 to Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semi-final second-leg.
The result rounded off an emphatic 5-0 aggregate win for the Buccaneers over their fierce rivals, and Khanye believes that the approach to rebuild the team required a different approach.
“Fans for now must wait, No miracle is going to happen with this team. The rot did not start now with Gavin Hunt; Chiefs are entering their sixth year without a single trophy,” Khanye told iDiskiTV.
“Chiefs were not supposed to hire Gavin Hunt, they need someone like Farouk Khan who will be able to build a foundation and work together with both the first team and the development team.
“Chiefs Need to bring back their culture, without your culture you are lost! This club needs people like Khan, Kwanele Kopo, Eric Tinkler etc…”
