Thabiso Kutumela feels that Maritzburg United will take confidence from their Nedbank Cup round of 32 win into this afternoon’s DStv Premiership game against TTM.
The talented midfielder says they will use their win over Sekhukhune United as a morale booster ahead of the game, as they look to turn their league form around.
Prior to the win, the Team of Choice had lost three successive league games.
“I think the cup win will help us,” Thabiso Kutumela told the club’s website.
“We lost three games in a row in the DStv Premiership (before that) and this cup win is going to help us to boost our morale to go into the league game that is coming on Friday.”
“We’ve been working hard since the cup win – we didn’t say, ‘let’s wait for Friday and get some rest’, we just carried on working hard from Monday and we can see progress to go forward to the TTM game.”.
“TTM have not been good like us. But they won in the cup game against SuperSport United, so its going to be a tough one because they are motivated.”
“They see their progress, like us. And so I think it’s going to be a tough game because we all need the three points.”
“We are only separated by goal difference and it’s important to beat the teams around us, it will help us going forward.”
