Lentjies Hails Hunt Appointment
While Kurt Lentjies and Chippa United are yet to conclude an extension for contract, the veteran is hoping all will be resolved soon, as he looks forward to the possibility of working under Gavin Hunt.
Lentjies is set to return to pre-season training at the Gqeberha club today (Tuesday), where he and the club will negotiate his future.
In an exclusive interview with iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago, the 36-year-old says he is personally excited to work with Hunt, a coach he has great respect for.
“Yes you mentioned a big name, what a history coach Gavin has and his record speaks volumes, for him to come and coach Chippa,” Lentjies told iDiski Times.
“I don’t even want to talk about trophies and what he has achieved I can go on the whole day with the conversation with Gavin Hunt.
“First time that I’m going to be coached by him, personally very excited.
“Obviously he said yes to come and coach Chippa then surely there must be a project that he is working on, a direction that he wants to go.
“So that project will start on Tuesday once we meet and then we will take it from there.”
