Lentjies – This Team Is Strong Enough

Chippa United midfielder Kurt Lentjies says they will need to play a good all round game if they are to beat Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

Celtic host Chippa at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Saturday in the DStv Premiership.

Lentjies says that while they’re changing their focus back to the league, after qualifying for the last sixteen of Nedbank Cup, but they go into every game with the same goal of winning.

“Every game that we go into we want to win, whether its league or cup,” Lentjies told Chippa media.

“So I don’t think it’s more focus of league or cup, obviously, we want to go if you want to prepare for every match, you want to prepare for every match to win.”

“So focusing, like you said on the league, me, obviously to better position on the log, just to move up the table just to play with it, but less pressure.”

“So I think the sooner we get to the 30 point mark, for us as a club, the less pressure we will be under so yeah, we will take one game at a time. Whether we go play away, or home, I think this team is strong enough and capable to win every football match.”

“Yeah, we did some tactical work, obviously. They have also been a bit under pressure. We’re expecting a tough game. They’re a hard running team, they attack well, we defend well, so we have to play a very all round to get the three points.”

“Obviously, is was more than anything if we can get three points out of this game, which I think we would we would go into this game with our conference with our tails up high, even though they also won their last game, so it’s going to be a bit of a tricky encounter. But we’re ready, I think we’re fully prepared and ready to go for the three points.”

Meanwhile two former Chippa players, Thami Sangweni and Athini Jodwana have been training with the club, and are set to re-sign for the team.
