Ncikazi – I’m Hoping To Be Pirates Head Coach In Future

Mandla Ncikazi has confirmed that he didn’t just come to Orlando Pirates to be an assistant but he hopes to also become the head coach in the future.

The 52-year-old left his role as Golden Arrows head coach to join Pirates technical team as an assistant to Josef Zinnbauer, along with Fadlu Davids.

Ncikazi has revealed that he is excited to be at the Buccaneers and also confirmed that he is hoping the stars will align for him to become the club’s head coach himself once the time is right.

“I’m ambitious enough, whatever the predestination, I’m here now but you never knew a week ago that you’d be sitting in that chair, predestination has taken you there,” he told Thomas Mlambo on the Ultimate Sport Show when asked whether he dreams of becoming the club’s head coach.

“But sometimes we must just work and work for our luck, have the vision that you want to grow. If God allows, if the situation and the results allow, if anything goes well, it (me becoming Pirates coach) will happen.

“I never knew that I will be at Pirates at this stage, it’s predestination. I’m hoping that predestination can give me that opportunity of being head coach at Orlando Pirates.”
