Ncikazi – Pirates Needed This

Orlando Pirates co-caretaker coach Mandla Ncikazi says the FIFA international break has given them the opportunity to iron out deficiencies plaguing the squad.

The DStv Premiership resumes this weekend after a two-week break, with all teams to be in action.

Ncikazi, though, has spoken about their preparations for Saturday’s match against his former side Golden Arrows, saying he hopes to see an improvement from his men.

“If there’s one team that needed this break, [it] was Orlando Pirates,” Ncikazi told the club’s media department.

“It was important that one; the players who have injuries, at least some of them are coming back.

“It was also important that there is work on our deficiencies and maybe the way we concede goals, race defence, and again, our attacking third let’s try and score goals.

“We had enough time, and I’m sure there will be an improvement in the next match.”

The Buccaneers will travel to KwaZulu-Natal to lock horns with Abafana Bes’thende at the Princess Magogo Stadium at 15:30.
