Ntseki Won’t Return To Bafana
Molefi Ntseki will not be returning to Bafana Bafana to assist new Head Coach Hugo Broos, after SAFA and Ntseki failed to agree terms.
Ntseki’ manager Thato Matuka confirmed this in an interview with Thabiso Mosia on SAFM on Wednesday.
“It was left, obviously, we had to sit in the boardroom, discuss the terms. And ja, yesterday, we had a lengthy meeting, where we discussed the terms, we discussed the conditions, we went back and forth,” Matuka told SAFM.
“And, look, we’ve come to a point where both parties, and I’m saying both parties in that, obviously I raised a few things which the association, they also raised their side. And we we thought, look let’s part ways from our side.
“Look, I think as a representative and what I recommended to my client, I think it’s time for us to close the chapter for now. And maybe we will come back later. But for now, we will close the chapter.
“The reality is we didn’t agree on the terms. I had my view, obviously, there were a couple of issues that I proposed.
“Um, you know, it’s a negotiations, you know, it could go either way. So I had my side of the story, and obviously the association, from their side also they had their own things that they couldn’t do.
“And we agreed that look, it’s not gonna work, you know, so we decided to basically close the chapter.”
Last week on the same platform, Broos had announced that he had asked Ntseki, the man he replaced as Bafana coach, to be his assistant.
However after it was reported that Ntseki would be Broos’s assistant, SAFA released a statement that no one had been hired yet.
