Kaizer Chiefs senior player Bernard Parker has revealed that he is closer to young players in the club to guide them academically and football respectively.
The veteran footballer has just obtained the high certificate in Sports Marketing Diploma from Boston recently, to add to his Sports Management Diploma. And also currently doing Sports Psychology and life coaching as well.
Parker, though, believes that his availability and knowledge at the club can help the young stars to focus on school and football at the same time.
“With my knowledge that I’m gaining, I share with the young boys, I’m very close to (Nkosingiphile) Ngcobo and (Njabulo) Blom as well,” Parker told Thabiso Mosia on SA FM.
“If you can recall, Blom played with me in the midfield and I gave a few tips and a few tricks. And I’m glad that he took it, and he’s improved so much in his game as well.
“Also, as you mentioned that this past weekend with Mabiliso there on the left as well giving a few tips and whatever in the derby in such a big game, he actually kept things cool.
“So it’s just for me to give back also to the young boys. Make sure that football is not only about playing, football is about understanding, having the knowledge of the game will make things easier for you in, in your career, in your journey.”
